Why a Pocket Guide?

The purpose of a Pocket Guide is to provide concise, easily accessible information on correctional health care to policy makers and practitioners.

Pocket Guide Series

The Pocket Guide series is intended to introduce sheriffs, correctional administrators, correctional health care practitioners, public health care leaders, and those who make critical public policy and funding decisions to specific guidelines and recommendations arising out of the interface of public health and corrections.

The Pocket Guide series was produced under the direction and editorship of Robert B. Greifinger, MD. The series is based on guidance from various centers and divisions of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
